[PPCC] Meet-Up For the 2013 School of Mines E-Days Car Show, 9am This Saturday, April 6th

Happy April Fool's Day PPCC!! 

  

The first car show of the season is coming up this weekend, and that's no joke :) 

  

I first mentioned this show to the C lub about a month ago, and since then I've only seen a note from Garrie that he's signed up and planning to attend as well. 

  

I know from my emails that several other members have been hesitant to commit, waiting to see what the weather might bring.  Well, according to the news this morning, Saturday is going to be a very nice day to have your car out and about, so lets dust them off, clean them up, and get as many cars up to Golden this weekend as possible! 

  

To ensure we can all park together in line at the show, we're looking to drive in as a group.  In checking with the Denver club (RMC), they are planning to do the normal pre-show meet-up at the phone company parking lot on the south-west corner of 19th and Jackson in Golden at 9am, and then roll on into the show at 9:30. 

  

I won't sugar coat it, in the past, participation by the PPCC has been minimal to disappointing.  I know it's a bit of a ride up to Golden, but one of the things folks in the Club asked for this year was more opportunity to show their cars and participate in events.  Here is an opportunity.  So, if you have a car, that has not seen the light of day for the past 6 months, or one that has not been seen by the folks in the area for a while, I would encourage you to make the trip up to Golden, if not to show your car, then to take in the other cars that are able to show this early in the season. 

  

I hope to see you all at 9am on Saturday, at the phone company parking lot in Golden!

Please see the below note from the folks at the School of Mines, as well as the attached flyer. 

  

This show is put on by the students every year and is always a fun, no pressure event.  No money due until you show up for this one, but pre-registering via email ( Jake @  jkrapes at mines.edu    ) will guarantee you a show T-shirt (if you wait until the day of the show, the only thing left are size smalls, and that don't work for me :)  ) 

  

Student and Veteran's discounts, a nice easy intro to the show season and a chance to get the rides out early. 

  

I'll bring some flyers to the next meeting, hope to see a good turn out from the PPCC group!

If you are receiving this email, then you have registered in the past. We would love to have you back! Attached is the flyer for this year's show. All I need for a registration is your name as well as the make, model, and year of the car you plan on bringing. I also need the T-shirt size you would like with your registration. The only way to guarantee your shirt size is to pre-register! 


We wil also be unveiling the Formula-Style Race Car that we have been working on for the last year!
