PPCC List - October news and updates

Good Morning Everyone,
I wanted all members to be aware of an event change... the RMC Garage Tour,
which we were invited to join in on, has been cancelled due to inclimate
weather forecasts for this coming Sunday. This event will be rescheduled at
a later date.
A great event to add to the calendar is the Trunk or Treat at Buckley AFB
on Oct. 27th. Check out the email about this that Ed sent out to everyone
for more information and details.

Since June, the board has been working on club guidelines for use of social
media within the club and club members. As you know, we have started
collecting forms with permission from members to use their images in
newsletters and publications. Along with that, the board has reviewed the
club’s social media, including the website, FB, open and close viewing,
etc. The board has come up with the attached guidelines. Please review
these and at the October general meeting, the membership will be voting to
approve the guidelines to add to the PPCC Standing Rules and General
Policies.

The CORSA Board recently reviewed and made changes to their Operating
Policy. We, as a local chapter, do not require our members to join CORSA
and the club pays an annual fee to CORSA to retain chapter status. One  of
the changes the CORSA board made, which goes into affect next year, is that
to maintain chapter status, the local clubs should have at least 50% of
their members also be members of CORSA. We also need to have the majority
of our chapter board members belong to CORSA. At the October general
meeting, we will be asking everyone present if they are CORSA members or
not. PPCC members who aren't at the meeting, will be contacted by phone or
feel free to send me an email with the information.
