Additional thoughts: spark plugs/wires and dist parts must be good. If you have a pertronix Ignitors in dist instead of points beware of some Ignitors that are NOT compatible with the slow idle speed of engine in drive at stops. Again good luckSteve at Rear Engine Spec IncSent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE device------ Original message------From: Robbie muehlbauer via PPCC-ListDate: Wed, Jan 22, 2020 1:23 PMTo: Kathy Green via PPCC-list;Cc: Subject:PPCC List - Corvair TroubleshootingHello! After lots of thinking I have decided not to sell my 1963 corvair. Hooray! I am excited to continue learning about these cars. That said, I have fixed my emergency brake but I need help diagnosing the problem with my gas gauge. It reads full all the time and I’m in need of some problem solving ideas. Also, I need help learning how to adjust the idle. My car dies at stoplights and it makes it a real pain to drive around town. I would love any tips and tricks!
God Bless,
Robbie Muehlbauer
