Hi all,
Friendly reminder time…

It’s less than a week wait for the Rocky Mountain Car Show presented by the Collector Car Council of Colorado, Saturday the 6th of August up at Rocky Mountain Metro Airport (11905 Corporate Wy Broomfield, S of Hwy 36 on Wadsworth)

We have gotten a special area set aside for Corvairs and other air-cooled marques so entry will be easier than years past when we had to gather off site so we could all enter at the same time to park together.  Even with the horrible air quality last year, the show was very well addended with lots of people wandering around and asking questions.  The cars in attendance last year, always seemed to have a crowd around them.  With our special section, Corvairs will be front and center on the show field instead of being buried with the rest of the boring old Mustangs, Camaro’s and the like.  :-)

I look forward to seeing a great turnout of Corvairs.  Would love to see a couple FC’s as well.  We should have space for 20-30 cars.  If I can get a count by Wednesday, I can confirm enough show space with the show director at the CCCC meeting Wednesday night.

Here are some details to be aware of:

$10 at the gate as a donation to the CCCC.

Gate will open to show cars at 8am. Show runs from 10am till 2pm to try and beat the heat.

Corvairs will be directed to our special show area.  Look for Ken Schifftner to get settled into your spot.

Ken is bringing his popup, but we’re a little short on heavy things to get it properly tied down (we’re on the ramp of an active airport so a flying canopy would be a bad thing).  Can I count on a couple people to bring some straps and largish coolers full of ice?
