[Rmc-list] Moving On

Hello, RMC Friends. 

 

As of our meeting this past Friday evening, I have resigned from the
President position of the club. It was not a quick or easy decision, but
after more than a decade of service to RMC as Newsletter Editor, 2011
Convention Chair, and Prez, I think it's time to step down and let someone
else take the helm.

 

I will stand in as interim Prez for the May meeting, but Linae and I will be
away in June (missing the Tri-State, which is a real disappointment!), and
possibly July. This is a perfect time for a new President to step in, and I
recommend the job highly - it's a good group, lots of good things in the
works, and more like an extended family than simply a Corvair club. If
you're interested, come to the May meeting, and toss your hat in the ring. 

 

It's been a great run for me, and I thank all of you for the support you've
shown, and the friendship. We'll still be hosting the Tri-State Tune-up on
Sunday, May 20, and look forward to remaining active in RMC for many years
to come.

 

I hope to see you soon; get out and drive your Corvairs.
