Garrie,

So sorry to hear about this. It is crazy out there, I have found myself in
the route of two high-speed chases in the past couple years, one into a
construction zone at night where all I could do was honk a warning to the
workers as the idiot approached at high speed. In both cases the police I
could see in my rearview switched off the lights and disengaged.

People driving are paying so little attention, or consider the whole thing
as important as a video game where they will just reset and keep going.
They drive it like they stole it probably because often they did.

Glad to hear you are on the mend. I hope there are serious consequences
for the other driver, but I have my doubts.
