 Hello Ed: First let me say 'welcome' to RMC.  You will find the list of activities on the club website.
In regards to your car there are many body/paint shops capable of doing your car.  There are also a few to stay away from.  Probably best to visit on the phone about both sides of that subject.
I own Rear Eng Spec Inc in Golden and I might be able to help you with some past history of the car but frankly there are many red 1962 converts around.  I hope you know the name of the pervious owner and maybe got lucky with paperwork and past registrations with names.  Feel free to call me and we can visit about that if it suits you.   303.278.4889  Also I am at 6th Ave (hwy 6) and I-70 in Golden so it is easy to find me if you come to Denver sometime.   You are not the only Corvair owner in Leadville either.
