to all who aksed questions-
the car is a 10-B build date. kent, i sent you pics of the lower sterring column area. it has the star shaped plastic sleeve and a bolt trough clamp.
bob helt, it does not have A.I.R.
mark, it does have a bow tie mirror and pebble finish edges on the f&r floor mats. i sent a pic to you of the exhaust details. it does have the odd manifold nuts which i have seen on many original cars.
i did not wish to remove the door edge gaurds to check for clips; i have sent you several pics of the gaurds for your own conclusions. i also sent a pic of the rear speaker shelf.
that covers all questions recieved to date
 regards
lc

  Very cool!

I'd like to know what the part of the steering column just below the "firewall" looks like around the lower bearing. Is there a spring pressing against the bearing cap from the bottom side? Is a clamp and through bolt (with nut) holding the spring in place from below or is there a star-shaped plastic sleeve--or something else?

  Thanks.
  Larry,

I have the exhaust off my '67 Texas 4door, and it is interesting.
Notably the way the crossover is made and integrated into at the "Y". No
aftermarket replacement is done like the factory did it. Also, the nuts
holding the crossover to the manifolds are self-locking nuts. The hex
only goes halfway down the length of the nut. Found the same on 5999. Am
thinking of bringing the system to the SCG event this year for
show-and-tell, even if it is bulky. Maybe you could get some pics of
  these features to verify?

Would also like to know whether the door edge guards have clips or not.
And whether the front and/or rear mats have smooth edges or "pebble
grain" edges. And what about a bowtie mirror? How late is this car?

Also, I'd like verification that the rear seat speaker has a foundation
riser and speaker grill/screws like the '69's. I believe this is true on
all '66-later cars. I've had several '66-7 cars in the past with this
option, but it was before I really started studying this feature.

Thanks much! What a great find!

  hi all
i got a low miles (17K) 67 monza coupe in the shop today. 110/pg, posi, am pb, rear speaker, and appearence guard group. original paint and exhaust, i am certain it has not been messed with other than maintainence.
are there any burning questions that this car might lend a clue to? i'll have it here another few days
