[SCG] Accessory code update

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the info.

RE: O in group 1, the research definitely shows O in group 1 for '65, '66,
and '67. Were you thinking that it didn't? Here are the notes from the
article:

"Technically speaking, this code indicates the molding that accompanies
two-tone paint and not the paint itself. This explains the code's apparent
redundancy with the paint code found elsewhere on the tag, since one can
tell from the paint code whether a car has two-tone paint. Fisher Body
employees looked at different parts of the tag depending on their tasks. In
Canada only this molding was assigned RPO D99."

RE: J in group 5, can you please send me the exact code info from the tag? I
agree with your assertion that J supersedes Y (based on the codes from your
'67 sedan: E2DMU4F5J) but info from Bill Loftin's '67 500 sedan shows that Z
does *not* supersede Y (meaning both are present on the tag). Here are the
codes from that car: L2D5ZY.

Thanks.

Subject: Accessory code update

Kent and all,

In playing around with the body tag info on my two near-identical '67 Monza
4doors, and comparing them to the info as written in your article from the
CC, I noted the following two bits that may need updating concerning
accessory codes:

In group 1, the "O" DOES show on a '67 with the tutone paint, in addition
to the split paint code (example: S-T instead of S-S or T-T). This shows up
on my factory tutone car.

In group 5, if "J" or "Z" or both are ordered, the "Y" isn't shown.
Apparently, calling for a deluxe center seat belt or deluxe sholder belts
is enough to automatically specify deluxe belts all around. This shows up
when comparing the two cars' codes. Both have deluxe belts, but only one
has the center belt as well.

Thought you'd like to know, in case these fine points haven't been caught
to date.

-Mark
