[SCG] BUFFALO (and others?)

All,

If we're taking some kind of vote or poll, here's my thoughts:

Holding SCG evaluations at minis or regional events, that is a great idea. I'd say that the more events we could hold them at, the better, as we would probably have the opportunity to see more factory original cars that way. If we had to limit ourselves to just one, though, my vote would be for the DACC Homecoming, as it is probably most centrally located in relation to as many CORSA members as possible. It is also a laid-back event, with plenty of opportunity to do evaluations.

One problem that added to this year's weak efforts was that we had too many cars and not enough people to do the needed work. At regionals we would probably have fewer cars and more time to do the work.

That said, I think we should consider having designated evaluation people, who's specialty would be what (s)he would concentrate upon. Bill's specialty are early models, mine are late models, particularly accessories and '67's. I am admittedly not so good on earlies, and the earlier they are the worse I am.

We also need to get more organized with our work team. We might need to have a meeting of all our workers ahead of the event to go over things and coordinate the team.

Further, the evaluations should be on a reservation only basis, though not turning away anyone who happens upon us out of the blue. We need to have a permanent spot on the concours classification team, who's sole duty would be to spot worthy originals and direct (promote to?) the owner to the attention of the SCG evaluation committee.

-Mark
