Invite all you want. As long as we advertise that the purpose of the meet is
to evaluate and document Factory Original cars any one can come. I can setup
an area for Corvairs only, even break it down into classes if you want. Just
no judging or prizes please!

I think we should be OK with Factory Stock restored Corvairs attending,
though as spectators - background decoration, if you will.

We have a strong local chapter here is Western New York and am sure they
will want to get involved. The plan is to have this event for Factory
Original, or in the AACA what we call HPOF vehicles only. I will provide a
area, covered option in case for rain, for a complete day, 2 or 3 if
necessary, where we can inspect, photograph and do what ever else you want
with the vehicles. It would be tough to do it the weekend of Recall, the
Syracuse groups annual event since they have things going on every day
Friday thru Sunday. Also holding it as part of another event will once again
put us back into the usual CORSA arena. I am very familiar with who comes to
Recall and like most CORSA events, there will be little excitement amongst
the regular attendees in factory stock vehicles. Bring a blown nitrous
monster V8 powered Corvair and you will have there undivided attention.
Sorry, but that's the way it is. I have attended way to many CORSA events
and quit for that reason. The point I have been trying to make from the
beginning is we need to have this activity by our selves. We who appreciate
preserving history and really want someone to know what it was like to drive
a Corvair in the day.

I think James has an excellent idea, tie in the SCG event with an existing
meet and move it around the country, that way everyone has a chance at some
time to attend. If this event happens down the road will it include
un-restored originals and restored to factory stock cars? I think this needs
to be clarified from the get-go otherwise we are back at CORSA rules. Ed

you hooked up with a local chapter, like east Syracuse.Good bunch of guys up
there.Or talk to them and make it a part of there recall weekend. As
mentioned before it could be something that you could move around the nation
and work with all different clubs and have it at there mini
conventions(i;e; Detroit homecoming, maggie valley, fan belt toss etc).
