[SCG] oil filter

Referencing the original post that started this thread, the Comminique article that describes the oil filters for each year of manufacture was from Larry Claypool's "Stock Is..." Series and appeared October 1991, pages 10-11 with a brief follow-up on Jan 1992, page 11.

I would say that during the time period, they would have only been available at the factory.  But post production that inventory would be sold off, (possibly to dealerships at that time)  the parts supplier would also have existing inventory to get out to the public.  Pretty easy to see how they could be "found" at swap meets and in collectors stashes.
