I have an old Peterson's magazine from the 70s about hot rods. These weren't the normal run of the mill hot rods; rather, they had machines such as v8 powered Jaguars and Crown V8 Vairs. One of the more interesting cars was a Porsche 912 that a guy had stuffed a Toranado V8 into the back seat area. He had to cut a hole into the rear fire wall and remove part of the rear seat area (which is really a package shelf in a Porsche 912). To cover the engine he screwed together several suit cases, then cut off the bottom an one end of the suit case assembly. He slid the suitcases over the engine and it looked just like four or so suit cases in the back of the car.
