Remember...your FOOT  is the strongest part of this.....

The arm from the pedal should do the moving.....all the other linkage should 
be made just to be correct travel.....

Sandcars / VW's   usually  have the Morse cable pulled by the Top of the gas 
pedal....then just looped if necessary. to pull the carb......remember you 
want the end of the housing  as far away from the Carb lever as possible

The less linkage..the less binding.....

My FGB.....had bicycle cable throttle for 2  rotated 
carbs.....stainless..teflon inner sleeve......return springs were the Accel pump springs...and  a 1/4" 
 x   2"  compression spring on each carb [ over the cable].

2 fingers to operate...
