I will have to say it will depend on the skill and the quality of the user. I have recently gotten a new plasma cutter myself and it is a Miller, good quality but my skills suck with it. I am learning though.

Subject: [V8Vairs] Technical question on plasma cutters.

OK, I've asked this question over on CorvairCenter, so I may as well ask it
 here as well.

I've got a friend who owns a plasma cutter who is willing to loan it to me
for a project. The question I have is: What kind of finish can I expect when
cutting cast iron (i.e. differential bell housing flange)?
