[V8Vairs] Wills/big-car Saginaw

..with Crown and Wills kits out of production now,has anyone tried putting (Vega) big-car Saginaw guts and side-cover in a Corvair trans case? Is there enough 'meat' on the main shaft (shortened Vega),and in the pinion-gear end to be re-splined with finer splines? I've started on re-working an AT bellhousing for the Jap V-6 to bolt directly to a 3-sp Corvair case...any help appreciated,,Tom Z..//
