Jim-
The brown wire, that would normally go to the voltage regulator, just needs 
to be extended to the #1 terminal of the internally regulated alternator. 
The existing big red wire goes to the stud on the new alternator. You have 
to make up a short red wire to go from the stud to the #2 terminal of the 
alternator.
You can remove the blue, red, and black with white stripe, wires that would 
normally go to the regulator.
