[V8Vairs] Will 17 X 9.5J wheels fit on the front of a street V8Vair?

hello chris, could you please keep me posted on your c5 diff and suspension for your v8 vair? i am still using your 4 spd saginaw trans and still using the vair diff with the wills adapter that i bought from you several years ago. i would  like to run the c5 setup so please let me know how your project progresses ok thanks in advance, paul paulstrohl at yahoo.com

The Corvette wheels have about 6.8" backspace, so they could work with
spacers about 1.5" thick.  I guess I could also look for a 7.5" wide
wheel that is also available in a 9.5" width that I want for the rear.

17X7.5 BMW chrome wheels on my Corsa with 215/40/17 tires. with the standard,
minor "massaging" of the lower front wheel well edge I am having no
problems at all. If these are Vette wheels you are considering there are many
spacer combinations available to try. My ball park starting point would be to
try a backspacing of 5.5 inches. We already know the IROC 16's fronts with
the 4inch backspacings don't fit and the rears with the deeper backspacings
do. So 5.5 would be a reasonable start point.
