[V8Vairs] Optimal Ratio for a Crown Conversion?

Paul,
I had a 3:27 in my V8 and it was too budy also. I found a 3:08 to use but
sold the car before I could install it. I have since sold it to another V8
Vair builder. I think for a road car it would be right.

Subject: [V8Vairs] Optimal Ratio for a Crown Conversion?

I am curious about which rear end ratio Crown owners have and what ratio
they think might be ideal. I have a 283 cu. in Chevy with a 3:55 and 25.1
inch diameter rear tires. Things seem a little "busy."

Might a 3:27 might be a better choice? Does anybody have a 3.08? Is it too
tall? (especially for a relatively small, although very healthy, V-8)

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Paul
