How do you know?  What engine did you have?  What engine do you now have?  Did you  change your driving habits?

I've often thought a 302 of the Z28 type would be ideal with its high
RPM capability. But that high RPM shocks the transaxle a lot during
spirited driving. Now I think a low RPM 383 stroker would be ideal since
it doesn't have to be revved to accelerate from low speed and can still
reach 7-8000 RPM.

The LS engines are surely the best technologically and if one is not
vintage racing are probably the hottest thing going today. 4-500
horsepower easily with lightweight aluminum block and heads. What's not
to like?
