[V8Vairs] (no subject)

I completely agree.  Lots of V-8 guys have broken differential stories.  None for me so far.  The engine I currently have is a relatively low torque engine which is a good match for the diff.  Currently the 3.55 makes 1st gear unimportant. Don Sherman suggested a 3.08.  I've been told the 3.08 has the strongest ring gear and the weakest pinion gear.  Honestly I'm not sure how to proceed.  I'm also seriously considering another engine.  (aluminum 350)  Decisions, decisions.

Hi Paul,

Sounds like a great day alright!  I think that the fact that the car stayed together and performed well for all that full throttle really says a lot about how well you put it together, great job.  I will make one caution - while stickier tires would no doubt help the car's performance numbers, I would be concerned that 300HP + good traction + Corvair diff = broken parts.

Be sure to let us know when the article is coming out so we can look for it.
