[V8Vairs] mid engine conversion

Couple of questions for those that might know.
I see that it is designed for the LS1 block. Is it possible to use an
adapter to a generation 1 block?
Secondly, in the picture of him holding it beside the car is it upside down?
The in car picture has the half shafts quite high making for a low oil pan.

Torque
is the enemy here and none of these transaxles was ever designed to take
the
constant 300+ ft/lbs dished out by even a mildly tuned V8. There are other
concerns regarding mounting and gear ratios and a wrath of other details to
consider.

In the end, there are many manual transaxles that can handle even a
radically tuned V8, but they all cost over $10K.

Under 10K - Now $8500 - but designed for the job.
