My crown car had a stall problem for quite a while. Finally determined I was getting vapor lock. Holley black getter pump located in the center of the engine compartment on the rear firewall (low), single -6 AN feed from the rear fuel cell And single -6AN from the pump to the regulator and then 2 -6 AN to the carb and nitrous solenoid. Finally figured out the vapor lock problem and moved the pump to the rear compartment, -6 AN from pump to regulator and included a return line to the fuel cell. Worked flawless for 900+ miles on the power tour.
Problem now is when I stop for gas or any other short engine off stop (15-30 min) apparently I'm still getting fuel vaporizing in the lines and makes it very difficult to start. Usually takes 3-4 start, run, die cycles before it will clean up and run right.
The car runs moderately cool , 160 to 180 degrees.
I know there's a lot of heat buildup in the engine compartment and the heat soak doesn't help. Has anyone had this issue or can you as a group make some viable suggestions ?
It's embarrassing to cruise along great and then have to crank so much !
