could have sworn that he said he had a cad 500 not a buick. i can also
think of a lot of very fast cars (porsche twin turbo, corvette and etc)
that are in the 3,000# range and do quite well. lightness has his place
depending on what you want the car to do but for a highway car with the
amount of torque he has available it would seem to me that finding the
right gearing to take advantage of the torque would be more important than
absolute lightness. mike mann
