Oh, another thought on this.

There are two relatively short rubber hoses in the fuel system, one at the
sending unit and one just ahead of the engine fire wall.  See that they are
sealed well.  You COULD be sucking air into the fuel line.

Attachments are scanned with anti-virus software.
