As lclc is known to say, "Rust never rests". I don't think that a week will
make a noticeable difference.

To my mind, the two most common places would be:

1. The front quarters (that is two but I'm counting it as one), just below
the Monza emblem. You need to get to this area by removing the fresh air
vents inside the car and then cleaning out all the munge. Water is
"supposed to" flow down from the front cowl, pass through this area and then
travel along the inside of the rockers, and dump out just ahead of the rear
wheels. The munge traps the water and gets the rust going.

In addition, remove all the rubber plugs from the inside fender - front and
rear. In the rear there is a little flap to remove on the inside of the
fenderwell (next to the trailing arm) as well. High pressure water from the front
will help to clean these areas out. You won't believe the trash that washes out.
You can jack the front of the car up and shoot the water in from the wheelwell
hole. If the rocker is still plugged up at the rear, water will build up and
go into the car, so be careful. use a coat hange or something to clean out the
drain holes. Removing the "fresh-air" door and cleaning that area out will
help. For some reason, cleaning this whole area out is a satisfying chore. You
really feel you are giving your car a better life ahead. Sort of like giving
your car a rocker panel enema! In the fair weather states (No snow/No salt) I
recommend leaving all the plugs out, and rinsing the rockers out often. Keeps
the leaves out. - Seth
