As per several of my previous posts lately..EASIER to have a VA...

But remember,my 66 vert with 3.89's  and MECH. only  got over 31mpg at 65-70 
mph  on the return from Tahoe....admittedly only one tankful..but the car 
always delivered at least 24! 
And it pulled nicely from 15 mph  in 4th!
