Cecil,
All of the major racer supply houses offer coil overs. However, I
suggest you start with the VW magazines and Sandrail magazine. Those folks
have shocks and springs for dune buggies which are tailored to a light front
end. There are a bunch of them on the internet as I recall.

I have a friend here at the space coast that has under construction a really
neat T-Bucket dune buggy. It sports a 140 dressed up engine with Saginaw 4
speed, disc brakes, spyder dash, Recarro (sp) seats etc. etc. etc. He is a
long time member of Corsa, and the editor of our newsletter (Central Florida
Corvair Club), but is not a member of VV. He presently has stock Corvair
springs on the front, but they are entirely to stiff due to the extremely
light weight. He would like to use some coil over type shocks (may not be
correct definition) on the front to replace the existing springs, but thus
far
we have been unable to find a source for them. If anyone knows of a company
or web site where we can get more information we would appreciate it.
Reply either on or off line and I will forward information to him. I say
online, since the information anyone might offer might be of use to others.
Thanks.
