We have a 92 Ford F-250 with Automatic OD transmission -- and they had a
terrible reputation for not lasting well. After 70K or so it was slipping
so badly I could hardly drive it and it leaked so much it was hardly worth
fixing. With little to loose I put in some of the "swell the seals" snake
oil AND some of the "stop the slipping" snake oil. It stopped both leaking
and slipping. It lasted to 105K and started slipping again. The snake oil
did not work that time. We tow an 8000 lbs trailer regularly so I was not
unhappy with the result.
