Joe,

I'm not sure I follow you on that one.  Won't it be both "squeezed" and
"stretched" as it goes through 360 degrees?

I guess I'm going to have to go get a U joint in my hands, so I can
understand this (visualize) a little better.

Also, wouldn't it be smart to get U joints WITH grease fittings?  I've put
them on whatever way is easiest to get to the fitting later.
