Hi David,
While this will work, a better approach is to use an ATV lift with a wooden cradle bolted to it.  This will enable you to move the power
train around easily, raise it for working on it, lower it to run the power train on the ATV lift, move it around, and lift it up under a
raised car.  The cost for an ATV lift is currently between $50 and $70 nearly anywhere.  The wood cradle can be almost free using scrapped
2X4 boards.  They will get nicely oiled later.  LOL.
