<VV> Distributor position

Thanks to all who offered suggestions on how to do this. I did run into all
kinds of problems getting this done though, and mostly because in trying to
get this done, I remarked w/white paint what I thought was the timing notch in
the HB. Turns out for what-ever reason the one that was on my car had two
notches. Guess which one I put white paint on. When the car was running
right, the timing mark was way way off. Took my neighbor and myself awhile to
figure that one out. Also, I was unable to get the distributor to end up
where I wanted it by moving the wires one position CCW, and then turning the
distributor 60 degrees clockwise. This made it interfere with the top of the
A/C belt. I ended up having to slip the drive gear one tooth to get it to end
up in the right place in between. Having painted the wrong notch turned it
into somewhat of a nightmare, and at the same time, my timing light started
screwing up. It is a Craftsman, and I have no idea why it decided to go bad
at this time....after all, I've only had it about 30 years or more.

Again, thanks for the help.
