Even if an ebay auction represented a binding contract, the only legal
recourse if someone backs out would be a law suit.  Not too practical
considering that even for a small claims court suit, you'd have to file it
where the deadbeat buyer lives.  The only real recourse is bad feedback --
which isn't much recourse.

How can someone decide to reneg because they don't like the shipping  cost?
