There are a lot of options on materials to use for sound control. One 
product that I have used is like Dynamat but a whole lot less expensive 
and it is called Brownbread. Do a google search for it and you will find 
a lot of other sound control products from that company. They actually 
supply performance info on their products. Another product that I have 
found but not tried is a paintable or sprayable material which the 
manufacturer claims works well. It can be found at the following web
