Hank,

Just out of curiosity how does O'Reilly rank on your list of parts houses?
I am sure that PEP Boys is below Advance Auto.

Since you mentioned ECHLIN how about Niehoff?

Probably should only shop at NAPA or CarQuest, but neither are close to me.

First thing you do-
1.take the regulator back to Retard Auto and see if they will give you your
money back.

GP Sorenson is the ABSOLUTE JUNK bottom of the line parts from an actually
very reputable company, Standard Ignition. of Long Island City NY.
As is usually the case, why is it then Advances' top of the line product???
THE PRICE. Trust me, IT'S JUNK.

1A. Unless looking for a deal on oil, or you just need an air freshener, or
other such trinket, STAY OUT OF ADVANCE AUTO!! EVERYTHING they sell is
cheap junk.

If they won't give you their money back, just leave the piece of crap on the
counter, with a recommendation on what they can do with it.

2. Go to a NAPA store, and get an ECHLIN line regulator.
