Well, yeah, but those are cerium oxide abrasives, very fine, and chemically 
active. They don't scratch because the abrasives don't act directly on the 
glass, only on the reaction products formed on the glass surface due to the 
elevated pH. 
Oh, I work for a company that makes polishing materials. <g> Bon Ami ain't a 
good one..

heck, maybe even BonAmi .... and yes, I polish my eyeglasses periodically
with grocery store BonAmi, abrasive and all.  .. and water ... with a clean
cotton rag.
