<VV> Side vents

The side vents, ventilate, and very well when the car is in motion. What
with the vent wings in the windows, and the windows themselves, the car is
fairly well-ventilated even without the vents. If you don't have much hot
weather and/or you have air conditioning, the vent apertures are near-deal
places to locate woofers and midranges (almost pointless for tweeters).

Just for giggles...what are the side vents for? Some one was telling me
they removed the working vent and stuck a speaker in there. Still
looked stock but obviously didn't function. How can this help / hurt
your car.
