Geoff The early model shroud has two bolts holding the coil to the shroud where the late has only one. The big difference is the early piece extends down about an I" more where the horizontal area bolts to the thermostat door assembly. Put the thermostat door assembly of your 66 in place and you will see there is a mismatch of about I'' in this area. Best Regards, Harold
