I have had my 64 convertible down since November of last year. I damaged the bearings towing the camper from Pennsylvania last summer. I have a back-up in the garage, but I am not sure if it has the right input shaft. How can I tell if it is OK? I have an idea! I'll check my copy of "Corvair Basics"! What a concept, There it is.
