Possibly a fuel delivery problem.  Things to look at.  You can try a new
pump (check the pump actuator rod to be sure it is correct for your car and
not damaged), fresh rubber hoses at the tank sending unit and just ahead of
the firewall, make sure no fuel lines are resting on the HOT shrouding,
replace the filters in the carbs (the BIG nut).  I'm assuming you have stock
steel fuel lines inside the engine compartment.  If not, get that rubber out
of there!
