I'd like to point out that you are talking about SOME Corvairs, but not all. 
Certain Corvairs such as LM turbos and LM air conditioned ones, plus maybe 
others too, have the air outlet on the turkey roaster relocated away from cyl #5 
and placed about 2/3rds the distance between #5 and #3.
