Keith,
The use of the PCV system varied from state to state but I believe that by 63
all Corvair had it. There is no difference in performance or drivability
with either
system. The road draft tube will leak a drop or two onto you drive way every
time you park it there and will result in an oil stain there eventually.
That's the
only disadvantage I know of. I use the road draft on my 61 Rampside but PCV
on all of my other Vairs.

I started thinking last night, after I discovered that I painted an early
fan shroud, what the advantage to a pcv system is versus a road draft tube
and vise versa. Anybody want to explain? This is for my 110hp engine going
in a '62 PG rampside. Should I put in the pcv system, and if so what do I
need to accomplish this? I am thinking that I will just use the road draft
tube. What years were the road draft tubes used?

Second question: How does one torque the flex plate to Converter bolts? I
cannot get my 3/8" drive beam torque wrench with socket in the access hole
to do this.
