<VV> Pulled Head Stud Fix?

If it pulled out you will have to fix it with some kind of thread insert.
If it screwed out you should be able to put some locktite on it.

 Today I was putting "O" ring seals in my newly purchased 65 Monza 140 and
on 
the # 4 cylinder, the head stud came out......Can I try to put some thread 
lock on and put it back, or do I have to pull the engine to
