I think we could use a little more detail on your problem, Rich. Is it hard
to make the lever go far enough? Is it more of a clutch thing? Do you have a
new clutch? Some Corvairs are pretty to get the clutch adjusted properly,
making it hard to get into some gears. LM Corvairs have floating shifters that
have to be properly shimmed and properly secured to the transmission support.
There's always the shifter pin at the front of the trans. It could even be an
internal problem in the trans. Could we get a little more detail? Does it
shift properly with the engine off?

BTW, AFIK, the shifter is the same for the '66 saginaw and the original '65
trans.

<snip> 4 speed adjustment
I have a 65 corsa with the 66 trans. I don't believe it is a problem
for the stock adjustment, but I am having a devil of a time getting this
thing adjusted right.
I had it working in all the gears but it was hard to go into 2nd and 4th
. so I went to it and now I cannot even get reverse. Is there any
tricks to this? Do I need a whole new shift assy. Thanks Rich Taylor<unsnip>
