<VV> alternate ignition systems

Greetings, VV!

I'm been looking at alternate ignition systems (I currently have a Pertronix 
setup) and found this one. All it requires is a crank trigger and 12vdc, and 
has adjustable rev limiter and advance curves.

It's designed for the Buick v-6, but why wouldn't it work for our engines?
