Matt

Scouts Honor. Gary Funkhouser at Vintage Motorcars is doing the rebuild
but he can't take me for a month or so. I got into this because of the
car pulling left while braking. Bad right wheel cylinder..brake fluid
everywhere. Well one thing led to another so I'm rebuilding both fronts
from the spindles up. After I broke the right side line, I spun the
left side off at the wheel cylinder to avoid a repeat of the left.

On the splice; I kinda anticipated a compression fitting. I found a
3/16 tube union at a FLAPS. It's a "Brass-Tite" but it doesn't have a
rating, it just states NOT to use on brake line systems. Is the SWAGLOC
a superior fitting? If you think this is really a bad idea I could
replace the whole line. I'm not even sure how to access the right front
line. Do you have to remove my undercoated fender well to access? My
chassis manual doesn't get into it. I was just hoping to buy a month or
so. This is not a daily driver.

Thanks
