A sizzling (as in dropping a cold freedom fry in hot grease :-), almost has
to be from a drip, and a drip almost has to be from a loose inlet seat, damaged
or contaminated inlet needle tip, a heavy or leaking float, or a float assist
spring that has slipped away from it's proper installation. Often not
noticeable at speed since the extra fuel is being sucked on through.
My drivers side carb sizzles. Not loud enough that you can hear it with
the lid closed, but very noticeable when the car is stopped.
