Well Matt, both BMW seats are now installed and hooked to power in the '64
Monzta. I'm gonna need a bigger alternator if I wire in any more power toys.
Pics on request. I now need to design and build a new console which will house
the seat controls and provide a mounting point for a folding central armrest.
The seats allow for quite a wide console (roughly 10") so there'll be lots
of room for cup holders and a tray to house the inboard seatbelt halves when
not in use. I'll backlight such things plus add extra floor level courtesy
lights for the rear compartment. Maybe a small sub woofer....who knows?

All the while the '60 500 has sat in the garage just begging for paint.
During the brief attention it did get last weekend I came across another curiosity
that I think is unique to '60's. The sill plates (which are the late issue
aluminium type) have a reinforcement steel plate underneath the sill. They're
simply stuck to the aluminium plate with dum dum. Such an item sure would help
solve the bending problems with reproduction sill plates. Dunno if the '60
coupe had such an item or not? Life goes on even if we're not conventioning.
