<VV> Engine noise, Bearings, Plastigage et al

Bumer!  again!! ggg   never seems to end...  but don't let it beat you!

Just to show you there's "Ultra Luck".......at 17   bought a 50 Olds 304 v8  
with rods knocking......workedat carlot...thought I "knew" all thetricks...

Bought "Shim Stoch...0.002"  after pastiguaging! [ impressive eh???]

Engine was soooo tight by the time I got the 8th rod bolted.....engine was 
locked when we tried to start.....

Pulled car until engine broke loose...ran fine...but I sold it 
fast...cheap......

3 yrs later [ after army ] saw the guy driving it still!.....asked him about 
any troube??

NOPE  running like a dream.......  go figure...
