It's a rust-free '61 Monza coupe that's had all the superfluous weight
removed, without cutting it up, except to surgically remove the battery
tray. The interior and engine compartment have been painted white, with
plans to paint the outside Ember Red. All the holes left over have had
handmade aluminum panels pop riveted over them, including door panels, kick
panels, battery tray, firewall holes and heater holes. It's got a small
padded leather steering wheel installed, and some other fast parts still to
go on, like a plastic racing bucket from Matt, headers from Brent, aluminum
pans from me, and lots of gauges.
We're going to start with a 110/pg but I've got all the 4sp parts plus a
4.11 shot treated 4 spider diff. for when that gets boring.
I'll have to hammer out some of those cool rear fender scoops too. "Ram Air"
is on the list, even though it's just going to be for autocross and will
never really "Ram" anything, it just looks too cool not to.
